This sculpture resembles a funky clothing rack, an object often associated domesticity and feminity. The object’s brutalist shape, however, echoes the form of a gym weight rack, often a symbol of masculine strength and discipline. This duality allows Weight Rack to act as a space where aspects of masculinity can be both displayed and stored away. With this contraption, men can "closet" certain behaviors, identities, or emotions depending on the social environment.

Some more information on Let’s Compare Handsizes: Performance breakdown
Let’s compare Hand Sizes is a collaborative performance piece by Jolie Booth and Noah Moskala.
Noah Moskala is a conceptual artist working mainly in painting, performance, and video. His work focuses on bodies, the spaces in which bodies inhabit and on the human condition, often through the lens of sexuality and gender.
The performance features sculptural objects made by Jolie which become fully activated through Noah’s interaction and performance with them. These objects take the form of hand augmentations made of various mixed media materials that change the way in which the wearer interacts with the world. The work explores themes of Hypermasculinity and how gender presentation is affected by the space one finds themselves in.
