Monkey Business Casual (2025)

Plywood, spray paint.

2.5ft x 2.5ft x 4ft.

This piece is an ironic take on decorative furniture, modeled after the children’s game Barrel of Monkeys. Designed as a cheeky reinterpretation of a shoe rack, each shoe is intended to dangle from one of the monkey's outstretched arms. The work playfully challenges the notion that for art to be valuable, it must serve a practical function, as this furniture’s function is nothing short of absurdist.
